Here are a selection of paintings produced over the last couple of years or so. Most of the wildlife art paintings I complete do incorporate birds, the inspiration of which largely coming from sketchbook studies and personal photographic material collated over the years. Although sketchbook studies prove invaluable for producing authentic and realistic paintings, it would be extremely difficult to portray the subtle nuances of light and shade and much other detail without the use of additional photographic reference.
