Alongside individual species illustrations, I am often asked
to produce interpretive artwork, illustrations that are used in education
to describe how things work, in visually exciting and stimulating
ways. These may include illustrations of individual food-chains, habitats
or more complex ecosystems, and often include portrayals of hidden or unseen
worlds - such as life below the surface of a pond - that can be difficult
to produce using photography alone.
